Zapier Tables AI Enrich and Agent Versioning Hit Open Beta
TL;DR
Zapier released two features in open beta -- Tables AI Enrich, which auto-populates multiple structured fields across records from a single prompt, and Agent Versioning, which separates draft and published agent states so live automations are not disrupted by edits.
Tables AI Enrich works the way you would want it to: write one prompt describing what you need, and Zapier fills in structured fields -- summaries, categories, contact details, enrichment tags -- across every row in the table without you touching each record individually. Agent Versioning is the more significant workflow change for teams running production automations; you can now draft edits, test them in isolation, and only push to published when ready, which removes the biggest reason people avoided touching live agents. Together these two features shift Zapier closer to a full data-plus-agent platform rather than a trigger-action connector, which starts to compete with what n8n offers on the self-hosted side. For non-technical teams who want that kind of reliability without managing their own infrastructure, Zapier now makes a stronger argument -- though n8n still wins on flexibility and cost at scale.
