Anthropic Scales Up Claude for Teams With Enterprise Controls and Managed Agents
TL;DR
Anthropic added six enterprise features to Claude for Teams on April 9 2026 -- role-based access controls, group spend limits, usage analytics, expanded audit logging, a Zoom MCP connector and per-tool permission controls -- alongside Managed Agents in public beta for teams building long-running AI workflows.
Managed Agents unlock the capability teams have been requesting most: cross-session memory, API control, audit logs and portable stores that let long-running agent workflows persist state across sessions rather than starting cold each time. For IT and procurement teams, the enterprise additions check the governance boxes that were blocking formal rollout -- role-based access, spend controls and expanded audit logging address the compliance and cost-containment requirements that typically sit between a pilot and a company-wide agreement. Claude Security adds a distinct product angle outside the productivity conversation: scanning codebases for vulnerabilities, scheduling recurring scans and exporting findings gives security and engineering teams a Claude use case that justifies the Team or Enterprise tier on its own merits. Mid-market teams still on the Pro plan should seriously evaluate the Team upgrade -- Managed Agents and audit logging alone cover the cost difference for any team running more than a handful of automated workflows.
